Quicklists

Quicklists are a way of storing database objects for use later.  They can be used to store compounds so that they can be analyzed or to collect assay conditions for annotating experiments.

The quicklist window is displayed in the lower left of SLIMS.  In the figure above, there are several available quicklists including the lists "test", "SMA Batch Test", "foo" and "SMA NINDS CLUC/TLUC..."

Adding a QuickList
To create quicklist, simple click on the "+" button in the lower left.  You will be asked for the quicklists name and then a new list will appear.

Deleting a QuickList
To remove a quicklist, simply select the quicklist that you would like to remove by clicking on it, and then click on the "-" button.  The quicklist will be removed.  You will not be able to restore deleted quicklists!

Adding Items to a quicklist
To add a items to a quicklist, select the items in the main window that you would like to add.  You can either select a group of items by clicking on the label of the first item in the window, holding the shift button down and then clicking on the last item that you would like to add.  The row label's in the above window are on the left hand side of the middle window and labeled, "1", "2", "3"...

After the items are selected, you can drag them to a quicklist by holding down the shift or control key while holding down the mouse button.  When the mouse cursor is over the desired quicklist, release the mouse button.  The quicklist will blink indicating that the items have been received.
