platetype
Platetypes define the types of plates found in your laboratory. Since
different experiments may require different styles of plates, it is
a good idea to identify all the different plate types for annotating
experiments.
Platetypes are defined by the size of the plate, a meaning full description
such as "COSTAR opaque bottom 384" and the vendor id.
For analysis purposes, SLIMS only cares that the sizes of the plates
are the same. In this fashion, you can mix and match plates at
well during an experiment design phase and SLIMS will colate all
the results together.
